Apple signed a deal with Malala Fund for providing quality education for girls.
Malala Yousufzai and her father Zia Uddin set up the Malala Fund with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai. The Apple CEO Tim Cook said in an interview with Malala Fund that it would be able to achieve gender equity by providing quality education for girls, not just funding.
Tim Cook said that Malala is an exemplary man and is happy to work with her. Malala fund is currently active in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Lebanon and Jordan, where there are serious obstacles to child education. Now, with the Apple deal, the fund has doubled the grant and it will expand to India and Latin America.
