Sangameswara is exposed from the Krishna jalas of the Sri Salaam reservoir. The peak of the temple broke out and the devotees were overwhelmed with joy. The ancient Sangameshvara Temple in the new Palle Mandal in Kurnool district is about eight months away from Krishnajala, except for summer.

The release of water from the Srisailam project this year has been delayed. Sangameshwara who worshiped Mahashivaratri last year had a chance to be confined only to the tip of the year. Temple Poojari Telalapalli Raghurama Sharma is preparing to perform the pooja of the Maha Shivaratri Parvidani Temple. Srisailam reservoir currently has 98 tmns of water storage. The reservoir water level was 857.30 feet. The water resources department officials said that this year the temple will be completely cleared and the devotees will have to wait till April.
