Nagarjuna Sagar, water reserves in Srisaila join to the Dead Storage,There is pressure from Andhra and Telangana states to allocate their share of water for fresh water. Two state governments have received information on this. The Telangana governments demand the Krishna Board to give Andhra and 12 TMC water to give them 15 TMCs of water. At present there are only 31.04 TMC water in the 804 ft water level in Srisailam and 125.18 TMC water at Nagarjuna Sagar 506.3 feet water level. In the next few days, 800 feet in Srisaila and 500 feet of water in Nagarjunasagar, the irrigation engineers said.
DEAD STORAGIC SRISAILAM RESERVES
The state government has set up 7 emergency pumps to bring water at Nagarjunasagar in order to supply fresh water to parts of Hyderabad neighborhood with a crore population. Three more pumps are being set up. If these pumps are created, the water that is close to deadstroke can not supply water to the surrounding people of Hyderabad. Through these pumps an average of 270 million gallons per day is sent to Hyderabad. This water is supplied with drinking water in areas 1,2,3 steps under the Krishna Water Supply Scheme. These pumps will be used for water for another three months, up to 496 feet below the water level of Nagarjuna Sagar. This will not cause fresh water for the next three months.
