The Central has approved the creation of Central University in Andhra Pradesh. The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. Kendriya Vidyalaya will be constructed at a cost of Rs 902 crore in Jantalur in Anantapur district. The Bill is likely to be introduced in Parliament session of Parliament. In the event of the division of state law, the central government has promised to establish several Central Educational Institutions.

It has decided to form a newly established central university. The Cabinet has decided to continue the central education in temporary buildings until completion of full-scale construction of the university. The Department of Human Resource Development has been advised to monitor the funding process for this varsity. Union Cabinet Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told the media.
