Rajasthan Royals have won the match in the IPL playoffs. Jos Buttler (94 not out: 9 × 4, 5 × 6 in 53 balls) once again hit Rajasthan Indians on the eve of the night with good luck. But with the win, the Rajasthan playoff berth was not finalized but the Chennai Super Kings went to the playoffs. The Sunrisers had already reached 18th spot with the Hyderabad Playoffs. Chennai is now 16 points with the playoffs berth. Rajasthan, Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab will compete for the remaining two places.

These three teams are currently in the top 12 points. Chennai is the only one to win any match in Sunday's match. If Mumbai wins, Rajasthan Royals will withdraw from the playoffs with 10 points. Mumbai, Kolkata and Punjab were also 12 points. The other two teams that go to the Playoffs are now going to the straight playoffs, which will take any 16 points in three of the 12 points. Punjab has three more matches. Any two of these wins will qualify for the playoffs.
