With the Central Election Commission notification issued for Rajya Sabha polls, TRS's three seats are in the interest of the candidates. The process of nomination begins on March 12. TRS party president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao are likely to announce three candidates before the date of nomination. This time three seats will also win TRS. There are 90 members in the Legislative Assembly along with MLAs from different parties on behalf of TRS. The AIMIM party will get support for TRS. The party has seven MLAs in the assembly. Congress has 13, TDP two, BJP five and CPM one.

At present there are 11 MPs in the Lok Sabha and two MPs in the Rajya Sabha. Former PCC president K Keshava Rao and D Srinivas both from the BC community were elected from TRS in Rajya Sabha. With the latest election, the TRS strength in Rajya Sabha will reach five. Chief Minister KCR has already announced a seat to Yadav. In one of the other two seats,Is given to higher category and one seat is likely to give a seat to SC or minorities. Before finalizing the third seat, the KCR is likely to speak with Majlis party leaders. The term of the three Rajya Sabha members ends on April 2. CM Ramesh and Rapolu Anand Bhaskar on the post of TDP, of the term ends. Palvai Govardhan Reddy died in June last year. Since then the seat is empty.
