SANITARY NAPKINS IN 200 RAILWAY STATIONS

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said would be set up for the sanitary napkins centers specially for women in 200 railway stations across the country on the March 8 International Women's day.Minister has visited The Sanitary Pads Production Center Dastak in Sarojini Nagar Railway colony Under the guidance of Railway Women Welfare Organization. The price of six napkins made up here is only Rs 22. Sanitation pads have already been set up at the railway station of Baroda House, along with Delhi and Bhopal railway stations. Railway women employees have been set up at 200 railway stations for providing free sanitary pads for poor women.The Minister explained that steps are being taken to provide sterilized napkins to women.

On the other hand, Odisha Sarkar has decided to provide free paddy pads for nearly 17 lakh girls in their state. These will be given to girls from 6 to 12 in government schools. This will cost Rs 70 crore per annum.
