Karnataka is getting ready for the electoral battle. Both parties are planning strategies for the ruling party. A total of 2,655 candidates have been elected to the polls this time. There were 219 women out of them. The deadline for April 24 Wednesday was due. A total of 3,509 candidates have filed nominations. The observed officials rejected 271 nominations. The last day of the withdrawal of nominations was on April 27, 583 out of the competition. Of the total 2,655 candidates, 224 (from all constituencies) are from the BJP and 222 from the Congress.
2,655 CANDIDATES IN KARNATAKA POLLS
Out of the JDS, 201 are from the BSP and 18 from the BSP. Of the rest of the parties are 800 and 1155 are independents. There are 2436 males and 219 women candidates in the polls. There are 224 assembly constituencies in Karnataka. All of these will be held on May 12 in a single phase. Results will be announced on May 15. 4.9 crore people will use their vote in this election. Karnataka Assembly elections have become a prerequisite to the Congress and the Congress in the wake of the general election next year. Already the ruling Congress and BJP leaders are campaigning.
