The Cabinet approved the proposal of " extend the salaries of Lt. Governor of the Union Territories as equal to the salaries of the Secretary of Government of India".The wage and other fees for the LGs will be Rs.80,000 per month from January 1, 2016, and a monthly expenditure of Rs. 4,000 per month. Increased expenditure allowance of Rs 4,000 per month, and Rs.225,000, including local burdens available to officers in the Secretariat of the Government of India. However, total compensation, except for local fees and the most controlling allowance, will not exceed the total compensation received by a governor's governor.
