MINISTER KTR ATTENDED TO THE TEXTILE MEETING

Meeting of textile ministers of all states under the auspices of Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani was held on Thursday.The meeting of the ministers was held to promote handloom and handicrafts with the coordination of central and state governments.Minister KTR, Textile Department Director Sailaja Ramayar and Additional Director Srinivasa Reddy attended the meeting from Telangana. The program was organized by the central and state governments for development of handloom sector. Minister KTR explained the details of the meeting to the media.The Telangana government has allocated Rs 1270 crore in the budget for the handloom workers. Two corporations have been exclusively set up for the development of handloom industry.We are subsidizing cotton yarn and dyes that are not in the country. He said that the state government has initiated a thirty-five per cent subsidy on subsidies to increase the wages for handloom workers. We have created an unicorn code wherever they are located in the state.

For the sake of social security,  if the worker pay one rupee the state government will pay Rs.2 with the Chenethannaku cheyutha program.The state government will acquire the cloth of handloom artists. Ketiar said that the nationwide healthcare insurers should be asked to go for health care. Currently, GST has a number of 5,10,18 per cent. All of them wanted to bring the same slab up to five per cent, "he said. We have also asked for Life Insurance for handloom workers. He said the minister should ask for a cluster of clans in Telangana.
