Former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav was found guilty of 14 years in a total of four cases in the special CBI court which found him guilty in the fodder scam. In the case, the CBI court in Ranchi has finalized the remaining 37 convicts in the case. The culprits have sentenced to a fine of Rs. 1 crore. All of them were sentenced to 14 years in prison. CBI special court judge Shivpal Singh has been convicted on Wednesday. On April 9, the court convicted 37 accused in the Dumka treasury, which proved to be worth Rs 34.91 crores between 1991-92 and 95-96. In the case of 51 cases, the CBI court has issued a verdict. Five cases were registered on Laluprasad in fodder scam, and four were sentenced to 14 years in jail and Rs 60 lakh for conviction.
PUNISHMENT FOR ALL WHO INVOLVED IN THE FODDER CASE
Lalu's son Tejaswi Yadav said on the verdict that the NDA government has been accused of acting against them. In 2004, the CBI filed a charge sheet against 72 accused in the feeding scam. Of the 72 accused, 14 were convicted while the trial was being investigated, two others pleaded guilty and two others abducted. A total of 37 people have been involved in the scam and the court has acquitted five persons. Lalu, who is currently in jail, has been admitted to AIIMS in Ranchi and healing.
