In Congress, the Congress had an unexpected setback. A recently-elected MLA was killed in the road accident. Siddhu Bhimappa Naimaguda, who won from Jamkhandi constituency, was hit by a car near Bagalkot. While traveling from Goa to Bagalkot, his passenger vehicle collided with a divider. His followers rushed to the nearby hospital, where Nyamagouda was seriously injured. But he got there and he died there. The driver along with the MLA died in the accident.
KARNATAKA MLA DIED IN ROAD ACCIDENT
The eyewitness said the driver, who was on the opposite side, was struck by the divider. In the recently concluded Karnataka Legislative Assembly, Nyamagouda won by 2795 votes against BJP candidate Srikant Shubra from Jamkhandi constituency. Kumaraswamy is elected to the Congress-JDS constituency. Nyamagouda, who spent 15 days in his resorts with fellow MLAs, arrived in his hometown two days earlier. At the same time, the accident took place.
