She started the Passport Center (POWPEX) in a post office in Karaikal, Tamil Nadu. Speaking on the occasion, she said, "We are looking to make the existing approach more convenient to get a passport and impose a 10 per cent discount on the existing fares for children and children within the age of eight. We have plans to set up 236 PowPC centers across the country and already have 60 centers, "she said. She said the processing of 19 percent passport applications in 2017 was unprecedented. She said the neighboring districts and states would get this service through the PPPC Center which started in the city of Karaikal.
