The city's municipalities,  and the city panchayats are losing money. The total demand is Rs.115.31 crore, so far only Rs 61.63 crore was collected. peddapuram Municipal Council is leading in the district with 74.5 percent tax collection while Pithapuram is at the bottom with 43 percent. Within another month, the financial year ended up with 100 percent collection.There is a suspicion that the tiredness of the authorities will have an impact on urban progress as the Center is mandatory for a 100 percent tax collection for the financial community.

There are 2,41,493 private buildings in Kakinada,Rajamahendravaram Corporation, municipalities and urban panchayats in the district.From April 2017 to March 2017, total property tax demand is Rs.115.31 crores and so far only 61.63 crores were collected.The Kakinada city governed 52.8 percent of the company's revenue,while Rajamahendravaram earned 51.27 percent. Amalapuram municipal 56.3 percent,Ramachandrapuram 48.8per cent, Pithampur 43.9 percent,Mandapeta 68.2 percent,Thuni 72 percent,Peddapuram 74.5percent and Samarlakota 49.6 percent taxes. gollaprolu was 69.2 percent of the city panchayat, 65 per cent in Elleshwar and 50 percent in the mummidivaram.Under the 14th Finance Commission guidelines, local companies are mandatory to collect 100 percent tax. Local organizations have already been instructed that allocation of funds will be based on taxes. There is a continuous review of high taxes on tax collection. Within the next five weeks, progress in several local organizations has remained unaffected by the end of the current financial year. There are suspicions that the current situation is about 100 percent.
