The banks are sunk totally.According to the latest figures released by the RBI, lakhs of crores fraud in the five years happened in different banks .The total number of 23,000 such cases was filed.The RBI has answered to a person question under the RTI Act. As many as 5152 cases were registered between April 1 and March 1 this year, RBI said. In the recent past, the highest figure was Rs 28,459 crore. A total of 5076 cases were registered in 2016-17 and Rs 23,933 crore were fraudulent. A total of 23,866 cases have been registered since March 1, 2013. RBI said banks have lost 718 crore rupees.
FRAUD LAKHS OF CRORES IN FIVE YEARS
All the cases were investigated and action was taken on the relevant persons. The RBI has revealed that the CBI and EDI have been investigating the cases of big business and celebrities depositing banks. Neeraj Modi is the main accused in the scam worth Rs 13,000 crore scam in Punjab National Bank. The government has recently said that the total value of NPAs worth Rs 8,40,958 crore has been collected across the country. The highest is Rs. SBI is ahead with 2,01,560 crore unsecured assets.
