The GST crossed the first millennium mark. The finance ministry said that it had received Rs 1.53 lakh crore till April this year. Growth is likely to rise. The Finance Ministry said that the Central Government has received revenues of Rs 32,493 crore and Rs 40,257 crore for the States under SGSY for the month of April, 2013, after the new taxation policy was introduced in July last year.
GST CROSSED ONE LAKH CRORE
This is also the month for quarterly filing of composition dealers. Out of 19.31 lakh dealers out of 11.47 lakh Quarterly Returns (GSTR 4) have been submitted. They had paid Rs 579 crore in the amount of 1.03 lakh crores in April. The average GST is Rs 89,885 crore per month. GST's premium collection last July was Rs 7.41 lakh crore.
