The BJP majority in the Lok Sabha is gradually declining. Even if the government does not have any trouble, some parties from the NDA coalition, while the BJP loses, is losing the number of members.The shock news came to the BJP in the by-election results. As a result, the number of Indians in the House is dwindling. The situation has to be hit with a very small margin. The Lok Sabha now has 539 members. Besides the speaker, the BJP has 272 seats. There are 545 seats in the Lok Sabha. There are two Anglo Indians. They do not take into consideration. The result is 543 seats. Four of them are vacant. Three MPs from Karnataka resigned and the by-election in the Anantnag seat in Kashmir was postponed indefinitely. The BJP strength reached 274 in the House after both nominated members were also from that party. The BJP has more seats than the 271 needed majority in the 541-member House. The Kamalam party was defeated by a by-election in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.

282 seats won in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Now 10 seats are down. BJP-led NDA had 336 votes. TDP, Shiv Sena and Jharkhand parties went out. The result was 315 seats to the BJP. At present the government does not have any trouble. The BJP was able to win only one in the by-elections for four Lok Sabha seats. The BJP won three of these in the 2014 general election. But now in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, each one is lost. It is not known how many BJP MPs will come in four MPs. So say the BJP is going to fall.
