CHINA INVESTMENTS IN GAANA

China's technology giant Tencent has invested $ 115 million or Rs 740 crore in music streaming service Gana.Times Internet, Gaana parent company.The Times Internet will also invest in this company, the company said in a statement.The Times Internet is a part of the Times Group that publishes in Times of India.Gaana has entered the field under the many years ago in order to provide the first streaming music experience to Indian customers.Currently it is the largest digital music service provider in the country.It is currently competing with companies like Savon, Google Music, Apple Music, Amazon Prime Music.

Times Internet CEO Gautam Sinha said."The present Tencent funding for the company is very important investment.This is also a transition to the Times Internet company.It helps to increase awareness among investors who are ready to invest in other businesses of the Times Internet Company". Gaana CEO Prashan Agarwal said "The limited songs are available online for the users,due to the current low data rates.It is better to listen the song in the app than the piracy. Quality is also good ".
